As you asked for some feedback on the lighting systems I had installed here are my thoughts.
Firstly the headlamp HID Xenon upgrade. I am very pleased with this, it has made such a difference to driving on dipped headlights especially on the muddy winter roads.
Secondly the interior system. The replacement brighter bulbs are a great improvement giving the car a more modern sharper image.

I thought I would take the time to write you this e-mail and tell you how impressed myself and my husband Owen are with the work carried out by you and your team.
We have recently had the following items installed by you and are amazed at the level of service we received and the finished products are phenomenal.
Car Audio:-
Pioneer P9600MP, 4 Pioneer door speakers and a set of tweeters.
The unit was fitted with the excellent precision that we have come to know and love from your staff.
A custom built box with three 12 " Audiobahn subwoofers in it designed by Greg. A Precision power amplifier and capacitor were also fitted at the same time also recommend by Greg.
I am totally and utterly blown away by these. They are amazing. Not only do they look fantastic, they sound phenomenal. Money very well spent and a 1st class installation.

Wow these are fantastic. It has made an amazing difference to the look and also the feel of the interior of our car. I am ecstatic about these and will be recommending these to anyone who asks about them.

This has made an amazing difference to the car. The fact that you can see much more of the road when driving at night makes you feel much safer, in that you know what is around you without having to look too hard. These were highly and very well recommend by yourself Gil and I would like to personally thank you for it.

Yesterday we collected our car after having additional 4 sight lighting fitted to it and I am amazed and stunned at how different our car interior looks.
You placed LEDS in the doors so that the handles illuminate in the dark.
They are fantastic

Meant to get back to you before this but you know what its like ! Anyway we finally go round to fitting the Xenon kit,but not to my MGC as had been the plan. Instead I took my eye of the ball for a moment to long & John had fitted them to his 3.8 E TYPE. I will get some pictures to you in due course.
The installation was not a straightforward process, however this was nothing to do with the kit you supplied but entirely down to the fact that if you want to do anything on an E Type, like check the tyre pressure, you start by removing the engine !! The close proximityof the lamp units to the front wheels meant that some minor mod's were required to re-shape the holders. Once this had been achieved the installation was reasonably easy. Of course the E Type was a pos earth car and the unit kit was neg, so the polarity on the vehicle was reversed. Bingo, all worked perfectly.
We were away in France last week with the cars and the very real improvement in light quality was immediately apparent on our night drives. We will be back in touch soon with another order for my car & probably more.

31st. October, 2007. Audi A3 – Stage 2 HID Xenon Headlamp Upgrade + Car Audio upgrade.
Hi there!
This is just a short email to say how delighted I am with the service I received on my 2007 Audi A3 on the 31st October. The engineer was a generally great guy who knew his stuff inside out. He fitted the parts with ease and was respectful to every part of the car. I was shown how to use the new Xenon headlights and my new speaker system afterwards by the engineer and was told that if I receive any issues in the future they will come out to have a look under their warranty within that week! I even received a courtesy call afterwards to ensure that I was satisfied with their service.
The Xenons – Went for my first drive in them in the dark today and by gosh! I thought the road signs were painted in highlighter ink. THEY ARE FANTASTIC! They look as smart if not smarter than the genuine Audi lights and just fill the road in front of you for metres ahead with an ice blue glow that looks luxurious and natural.
The Speakers – Jack Johnson has never been heard so clear! The detail coming out of these speakers are fabulous. They do not need to be played loud any more as the sound at lower volumes is so clear, but if you decide to pump it up, the grin on your passengers face will be just as large as the one on your own.
Finally, I would recommend Quicksilver to anyone and everyone. Every car I get in the future will be going to this company and this company alone. Their prices are competitive, their engineers are the best in the UK and their after sales service is like no other.

Dear Gil,
Firstly my apologies for the delay in sending you a few complimentary words. Please feel free to use any of it, if it helps, BUT please do NOT quote my name & address!
I’ve read recently, particularly in “Auto Express”, scathing articles about replacement H.I.D. (Xenon) lights & their “illegality” - even mentioning your company...
As I didn’t wish to break the law I took the vehicle to my local main dealer (whom you now know personally!) and they checked it over, including with a beam tester, and felt it was OK, but they also checked with the factory for confirmation.
The factory replied it was obligatory to have headlamp washers for these lamps and supplied a list of factory part numbers for them. These I took and had ordered and installed at a main dealers on the continent while overseas on a business trip.
Likewise I contacted my car Insurance Company for their advice; they asked me to supply a copy of the invoice for the fitment of the Xenon’s, and, like the factory, they asked had I had headlamp washers installed? This I confirmed and at their request also enclosed copy of this invoice.
These I sent by Signed for Special delivery, and followed up on the phone to be told they had noted their fitment and had also increased the value of the vehicle accordingly. At M.O.T’s I’ve never once had a problem.
Two Policemen standing by their vehicle watching cars passing (!) motioned for me to pullover. They simply asked if I was aware one of my Xenon lights was not working? I replied yes, I’ve rung my main dealer and will be going there to change it. To which one quipped, “That’ll cost you as you can’t change these yourself!” It was then friendly goodbyes and away I went for the main dealer later to install the new “burner” you’d kindly sent them with your compliments.
Now onto the most important part: I read of “safety” in these articles, my “standard” lighting was so SUB-standard it was positively dangerous at night and on dark wet nights I dreaded having to go on a long journey, now thanks to you, no journey is too long. It’s not only reassuring to be able to see further down the road and be aware of any hazards, but also with the clear white near daylight Xenon much less fatiguing.
You’ve saved me having to sell my car due to the lighting and avoid one of several blinding factory-fit Xenons such as the Chrysler 300 ones! Only ONCE have I been “flashed” by one oncoming motorist and that was when I had a heavy photocopier in the back, and my headlights electrically adjusted down due to the extra load.
The irony was it was a Continental truck on the M20 who like many LHD trucks emerging from the Channel tunnel had his lights shining into oncoming drivers; in fact I was considering flashing him!! This is an unaddressed “Safety issue”, there are literally THOUSANDS of these trucks entering the UK each week, more and more with H.I.D lights, and many with incorrectly dipping lights, yet you never read of this “safety” issue…
Hoping this gives you some courage and inspiration, with my thanks again for your world class customer service via my main dealers.

Many thanks for the kind words, Michael. The confusion over
regulations rears it's head from time to time, and some Mandarin at the
DOT keeps issuing bulletins that we are advised are simply wrong. Just
as when you pass an 11+ or GCSE, you do not have to be examined again,
so when a car is type approved for sale in the UK ( or individually
approved in the case of a personal import), there are no regulations that
then apply to the car, other than those required by the MOT test, when
the car reaches three years of age. This testing procedure is run by a
body called the VOSA, and they have confirmed that with regard to car
headlights, there are only three testing criteria. 1. The headlights
must work. 2. They must be aimed correctly so as to not dazzle oncoming
motorists, and 3. They must not have any sharp surfaces that could harm
pedestrians
The requirement to have headlamp washers only applies under the type
approval rules. If you buy your new car, it will have been approved with
a certain type of exhaust system, wheels, tyres, steering wheel,
suspension, brakes, wiper blades etc., but no-one is suggesting that
their regulations stop you from taking this car straight from the main
dealers to various specialists to have all of these things upgraded.
Strictly speaking, every time you change/improve the original
specification of these things, you then have a vehicle that no longer
complies with the Construction and Use Regulations. This is the same
sort of legal infringement as driving at 31 mph in a 30 restricted zone.
It's unenforceable nonsense.

The standard lights on a Mark III golf as you know are very weak compared to the Mark IV golf which benefits from having clear headlights and reflectors which produce far more light. If you compare my car (being 10 years old) to most modern cars it's like comparing a candle flame to floodlights. To be honest the most I was hoping for was that the lights would be as bright as a Mark IV set of headlights after the conversion.......however when driving back to London on the M40 that night I had to put my sunglasses on when I turned the headlights on because it was like the sun had risen at 23:00 at night!! It was INCREDIBLE. You'll see from the pictures that the light just my headlights on their own create is astounding. I could see forever and the light was just a really clean bright white/blue. When I put the high-beam on I could see into next year it was like driving a completely different car. A friend of mine has a VR6 and we compared lights when I got home. My foglights on their own absorbed the light beam from his headlights/high-beam and foglights and I had to physically carry his tongue and place it back in his mouth he was that amazed. You just can't explain to someone the difference they make, they have to be seen to be believed. I was sceptical about how powerful they would be but even I was genuinely blown away. If you put them on in the day they still produce a ray of light that's the strength of them. Apart from the fact that they are like floodlights they are just so damn sexy to look at day or night!
The most satisfaction I get from them....????? Seeing that they are far brighter than many luxury brand cars on the road that have them fitted as standard.
The interior light your engineer fitted is also something else. You saw the old tired candlelight I had in there before. You can see from the pic that it is incredibly bright at night and lights up the whole car with a nice soothing blue, far more appealing than the old tired yellow light I had.
The footwell lighting is also fantastic and the blue/red combination you did in the front footwells of the car (depending on whether the ignition is on or not) is a nice option and definitely turns heads at night.
The car is now complete and to be honest it turns even more heads than it used to because drivers of newer cars either go green with envy or wonder if my car's a one-off when they see it. I can see where I'm going at night which is helpful and with the interior light and footwell lighting I can now better judge when it's time to get my car in for an interior valet...
Forget big wheels, exhausts and beefing up your engine - spend money on a xenon conversion. It's the most essential upgrade anyone need do to their car and it will make driving at night more pleasurable than a night with a supermodel...

I drove the car tonight, in and out of London, low and high speed, in dark and semi dark roads, big and small roads too. Its better than I hoped for. I am impressed. I can say, its absolutely perfect. Your Xenon system gives me at least 4 times brighter light and better visability. My driving lights now strike further, higher, wider and they are very bright, and not even one other driver complained that my lights disturbed him/her. It sure makes driving easier and safer, especially for high performance cars such as my Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0, not to mention that it makes the car look much nicer and more impressive from the outside during the night, when viewed from the front.
Also, I want to congratulate you for your engineer. He is an absolute professional, very experienced too, and knows exactly what he's doing. He was very polite too. When I need your services again, I'd like you to sent me this specific engineer.
I'll make sure to tell all my friends about your company and give them your business cards. You may use the above note as a testimonial for your website if you so want, and as promised, you may photoshoot the car whenever you want too.
I'm now seriously thinking of installing both the diffuser and also the detector, and of course the nice light blue light in the interior. I think I'll wait to take the car to the SVA first, in order to first register it in the UK, and then do these jobs, as I don't know what problems I might face in the SVA, and what their reaction will be, if they discover these systems installed on the car. The car will be taken for SVA around the beginning of June, so I think I'll do the rest of the jobs around mid June.

Gil, you will be very pleased and relieved that the new Xenon setup on the Cayman is as near perfect as can be! Last evening was probably the best testing situation in that it was dry and I had an interesting trip back as the M40 was closed for business and the country roads were a good testing ground for the new high beam. Of course most non-Xenon users are the first to tell you that your lights are too bright by flashing high-beam, or all were mesmerised and taking to the hedges!

You may recall that I purchased a Xenon headlight kit for my Kawasaki ZX10R about a month ago. I would like to thank you for your assistance in the selection of the kit and the prompt delivery thereafter. Just taken the GT Junior out on the darkest country roads I could find. While on my little journey I encountered two cyclists who had no lights on their bikes or reflective clothing as well as wearing very dark clothing.The vastly improved vision I now had with these xenons gave me plenty of time to react to what potentially could have been a very nasty situation .So your xenons could have saved the lives of two foolhardy cyclists as well saving me what could have been a very expensive repair bill!
Driving the car was always a very relaxing and comfortable experience. Now however, it’s even more relaxing as you have more time to react to the situations you encounter on your journey. The xenons have dragged a lighting set-up which was good for the 1970's, into the 21st century without compromising the look of the car. Now I can say I have A GT Junior that looks as good at night as it does in the daytime! Thanks again for all your fantastic work and I would not think twice about recommending this conversion to anybody else whether it’s a classic car or a more modern car. I believe that this conversion is even better than the impressive one your guys carried out for me earlier this year on the 146!

The light conversion is amazing, I knew my standard lights were not brilliant but the xenon's have made so much difference it is completely overwhelming.

I felt that I must let you know how much I appreciated the dedication of yourself and your team in fitting Xenon main beam lights to my Skoda Octavia.
When you initially explained that my car would only be the second Octavia to be so fitted, I must admit to a certain apprehension as to possible installation problems that may arise, even though you assured me that if this was so you would vigorously pursue and solve them.
Well, as you know, there were indeed a couple of initial problems with the car computer not being initially totally happy with things but, true to your word, you actively tackled and successfully solved these glitches with the end result being that I now have brilliant main beam lights that even easily out perform the already factory fitted Xenon dip beam.
It's good to know that any future Octavia customers will now benefit from a quick and efficient installation that works perfectly.
Excellent service indeed and I will unhesitatingly recommend to any other Octavia owners that they pursue the same course to improve their main lights performance to such a fantastic degree.
I would also be quite happy for you to give my email address to anyone who wishes any further information from the customer's point of view.

Meant to get back to you before this but you know what its like ! Anyway we finally go round to fitting the Xenon kit,but not to my MGC as had been the plan. Instead I took my eye of the ball for a moment to long & John had fitted them to his 3.8 E TYPE. I will get some pictures to you in due course.
The installation was not a straightforward process, however this was nothing to do with the kit you supplied but entirely down to the fact that if you want to do anything on an E Type, like check the tyre pressure, you start by removing the engine !! The close proximityof the lamp units to the front wheels meant that some minor mod's were required to re-shape the holders. Once this had been achieved the installation was reasonably easy. Of course the E Type was a pos earth car and the unit kit was neg, so the polarity on the vehicle was reversed. Bingo, all worked perfectly.
We were away in France last week with the cars and the very real improvement in light quality was immediately apparent on our night drives. We will be back in touch soon with another order for my car & probably more.

31st. October, 2007. Audi A3 – Stage 2 HID Xenon Headlamp Upgrade + Car Audio upgrade.
Hi there!
This is just a short email to say how delighted I am with the service I received on my 2007 Audi A3 on the 31st October. The engineer was a generally great guy who knew his stuff inside out. He fitted the parts with ease and was respectful to every part of the car. I was shown how to use the new Xenon headlights and my new speaker system afterwards by the engineer and was told that if I receive any issues in the future they will come out to have a look under their warranty within that week! I even received a courtesy call afterwards to ensure that I was satisfied with their service.
The Xenons – Went for my first drive in them in the dark today and by gosh! I thought the road signs were painted in highlighter ink. THEY ARE FANTASTIC! They look as smart if not smarter than the genuine Audi lights and just fill the road in front of you for metres ahead with an ice blue glow that looks luxurious and natural.
The Speakers – Jack Johnson has never been heard so clear! The detail coming out of these speakers are fabulous. They do not need to be played loud any more as the sound at lower volumes is so clear, but if you decide to pump it up, the grin on your passengers face will be just as large as the one on your own.
Finally, I would recommend Quicksilver to anyone and everyone. Every car I get in the future will be going to this company and this company alone. Their prices are competitive, their engineers are the best in the UK and their after sales service is like no other.

Dear Gil,
Firstly my apologies for the delay in sending you a few complimentary words. Please feel free to use any of it, if it helps, BUT please do NOT quote my name & address!
I’ve read recently, particularly in “Auto Express”, scathing articles about replacement H.I.D. (Xenon) lights & their “illegality” - even mentioning your company...
As I didn’t wish to break the law I took the vehicle to my local main dealer (whom you now know personally!) and they checked it over, including with a beam tester, and felt it was OK, but they also checked with the factory for confirmation.
The factory replied it was obligatory to have headlamp washers for these lamps and supplied a list of factory part numbers for them. These I took and had ordered and installed at a main dealers on the continent while overseas on a business trip.
Likewise I contacted my car Insurance Company for their advice; they asked me to supply a copy of the invoice for the fitment of the Xenon’s, and, like the factory, they asked had I had headlamp washers installed? This I confirmed and at their request also enclosed copy of this invoice.
These I sent by Signed for Special delivery, and followed up on the phone to be told they had noted their fitment and had also increased the value of the vehicle accordingly. At M.O.T’s I’ve never once had a problem.
Two Policemen standing by their vehicle watching cars passing (!) motioned for me to pullover. They simply asked if I was aware one of my Xenon lights was not working? I replied yes, I’ve rung my main dealer and will be going there to change it. To which one quipped, “That’ll cost you as you can’t change these yourself!” It was then friendly goodbyes and away I went for the main dealer later to install the new “burner” you’d kindly sent them with your compliments.
Now onto the most important part: I read of “safety” in these articles, my “standard” lighting was so SUB-standard it was positively dangerous at night and on dark wet nights I dreaded having to go on a long journey, now thanks to you, no journey is too long. It’s not only reassuring to be able to see further down the road and be aware of any hazards, but also with the clear white near daylight Xenon much less fatiguing.
You’ve saved me having to sell my car due to the lighting and avoid one of several blinding factory-fit Xenons such as the Chrysler 300 ones! Only ONCE have I been “flashed” by one oncoming motorist and that was when I had a heavy photocopier in the back, and my headlights electrically adjusted down due to the extra load.
The irony was it was a Continental truck on the M20 who like many LHD trucks emerging from the Channel tunnel had his lights shining into oncoming drivers; in fact I was considering flashing him!! This is an unaddressed “Safety issue”, there are literally THOUSANDS of these trucks entering the UK each week, more and more with H.I.D lights, and many with incorrectly dipping lights, yet you never read of this “safety” issue…

regulations rears it's head from time to time, and some Mandarin at the
DOT keeps issuing bulletins that we are advised are simply wrong. Just
as when you pass an 11+ or GCSE, you do not have to be examined again,
so when a car is type approved for sale in the UK ( or individually
approved in the case of a personal import), there are no regulations that
then apply to the car, other than those required by the MOT test, when
the car reaches three years of age. This testing procedure is run by a
body called the VOSA, and they have confirmed that with regard to car
headlights, there are only three testing criteria. 1. The headlights
must work. 2. They must be aimed correctly so as to not dazzle oncoming
motorists, and 3. They must not have any sharp surfaces that could harm
pedestrians
The requirement to have headlamp washers only applies under the type
approval rules. If you buy your new car, it will have been approved with
a certain type of exhaust system, wheels, tyres, steering wheel,
suspension, brakes, wiper blades etc., but no-one is suggesting that
their regulations stop you from taking this car straight from the main
dealers to various specialists to have all of these things upgraded.
Strictly speaking, every time you change/improve the original
specification of these things, you then have a vehicle that no longer
complies with the Construction and Use Regulations. This is the same
sort of legal infringement as driving at 31 mph in a 30 restricted zone.
It's unenforceable nonsense.

My foglights on their own absorbed the light beam from his headlights/high-beam and foglights and I had to physically carry his tongue and place it back in his mouth he was that amazed. You just can't explain to someone the difference they make, they have to be seen to be believed. I was sceptical about how powerful they would be but even I was genuinely blown away. If you put them on in the day they still produce a ray of light that's the strength of them. Apart from the fact that they are like floodlights they are just so damn sexy to look at day or night!
The most satisfaction I get from them....????? Seeing that they are far brighter than many luxury brand cars on the road that have them fitted as standard.
The interior light your engineer fitted is also something else. You saw the old tired candlelight I had in there before. You can see from the pic that it is incredibly bright at night and lights up the whole car with a nice soothing blue, far more appealing than the old tired yellow light I had.
The footwell lighting is also fantastic and the blue/red combination you did in the front footwells of the car (depending on whether the ignition is on or not) is a nice option and definitely turns heads at night.
The car is now complete and to be honest it turns even more heads than it used to because drivers of newer cars either go green with envy or wonder if my car's a one-off when they see it. I can see where I'm going at night which is helpful and with the interior light and footwell lighting I can now better judge when it's time to get my car in for an interior valet...
Forget big wheels, exhausts and beefing up your engine - spend money on a xenon conversion. It's the most essential upgrade anyone need do to their car and it will make driving at night more pleasurable than a night with a supermodel...

I drove the car tonight, in and out of London, low and high speed, in dark and semi dark roads, big and small roads too. Its better than I hoped for. I am impressed. I can say, its absolutely perfect. Your Xenon system gives me at least 4 times brighter light and better visability. My driving lights now strike further, higher, wider and they are very bright, and not even one other driver complained that my lights disturbed him/her. It sure makes driving easier and safer, especially for high performance cars such as my Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0, not to mention that it makes the car look much nicer and more impressive from the outside during the night, when viewed from the front.
Also, I want to congratulate you for your engineer. He is an absolute professional, very experienced too, and knows exactly what he's doing. He was very polite too. When I need your services again, I'd like you to sent me this specific engineer.
I'll make sure to tell all my friends about your company and give them your business cards. You may use the above note as a testimonial for your website if you so want, and as promised, you may photoshoot the car whenever you want too.
I'm now seriously thinking of installing both the diffuser and also the detector, and of course the nice light blue light in the interior. I think I'll wait to take the car to the SVA first, in order to first register it in the UK, and then do these jobs, as I don't know what problems I might face in the SVA, and what their reaction will be, if they discover these systems installed on the car. The car will be taken for SVA around the beginning of June, so I think I'll do the rest of the jobs around mid June.

Gil, you will be very pleased and relieved that the new Xenon setup on the Cayman is as near perfect as can be! Last evening was probably the best testing situation in that it was dry and I had an interesting trip back as the M40 was closed for business and the country roads were a good testing ground for the new high beam. Of course most non-Xenon users are the first to tell you that your lights are too bright by flashing high-beam, or all were mesmerised and taking to the hedges!

Just taken the GT Junior out on the darkest country roads I could find. While on my little journey I encountered two cyclists who had no lights on their bikes or reflective clothing as well as wearing very dark clothing.The vastly improved vision I now had with these xenons gave me plenty of time to react to what potentially could have been a very nasty situation .So your xenons could have saved the lives of two foolhardy cyclists as well saving me what could have been a very expensive repair bill!
Driving the car was always a very relaxing and comfortable experience. Now however, it’s even more relaxing as you have more time to react to the situations you encounter on your journey. The xenons have dragged a lighting set-up which was good for the 1970's, into the 21st century without compromising the look of the car. Now I can say I have A GT Junior that looks as good at night as it does in the daytime! Thanks again for all your fantastic work and I would not think twice about recommending this conversion to anybody else whether it’s a classic car or a more modern car. I believe that this conversion is even better than the impressive one your guys carried out for me earlier this year on the 146!

I felt that I must let you know how much I appreciated the dedication of yourself and your team in fitting Xenon main beam lights to my Skoda Octavia.
When you initially explained that my car would only be the second Octavia to be so fitted, I must admit to a certain apprehension as to possible installation problems that may arise, even though you assured me that if this was so you would vigorously pursue and solve them.
Well, as you know, there were indeed a couple of initial problems with the car computer not being initially totally happy with things but, true to your word, you actively tackled and successfully solved these glitches with the end result being that I now have brilliant main beam lights that even easily out perform the already factory fitted Xenon dip beam.
It's good to know that any future Octavia customers will now benefit from a quick and efficient installation that works perfectly.
Excellent service indeed and I will unhesitatingly recommend to any other Octavia owners that they pursue the same course to improve their main lights performance to such a fantastic degree.
I would also be quite happy for you to give my email address to anyone who wishes any further information from the customer's point of view.
