The Jaguar XK140, the early MGA, the Triumph TR3 and many other cars of the period used the Lucas L549 rear lights. They are very attractive but use a single 380 twin filament bulb to do three jobs, none of them well. It is the tail light, the brake light and flashes red as an indicator. This was acceptable in 1950 but is dangerous in modern traffic conditions. This kit contains high power LED upgrades for the brake/tail lights, an extra and powerful orange LED light which flashes orange through the red lens, a diode bridge to enable the single bulb dash display to function with the new equipment, an alloy body reproduction flasher relay to operate with LED bulbs, plus Electronic relays are silent, so we also include a loud sounder to restore the traditional flasher noise. No electrical experience or special tools are needed to fit this conversion and all wiring, connectors and fitting instructions are included. Technical support via the telephone or email is available if needed. If your car also has white flashing front indicators, we can also supply a powerful LED bulb which is bright warm white on sidelights, but which flashes orange when you indicate.
